How did I do on my 21 for 2021 challenge?

So I’m pleased to say that I completed this challenge. I did however DNF a couple BUT I did try them and I did give them a good go before I DNF’d them, so I’m calling that a success!

Here’s how I rated them all….

  • My Dark Vanessa – Kate Elizabeth Russell ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • The Last Thing to Burn – Will Dean ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • This is Going to Hurt – Adam Kay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • The Tattooist of Auschwitz – Heather Morris ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • How Do You Like Me Now? – Holly Bourne ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • The Fellowship of The Ring – J R R Tolkein ❌❌❌DNF
  • The Poet X – Elizabeth Acevdeo ⭐️⭐️/5
  • The Chain – Adrain McKinty ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • The Executioner – Chris Carter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • The Book Thief – Markus Zusak ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • The Cactus – Sarah Haywood ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • A Short History of England – Simon Jenkins ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • Sapiens – Yuval Noah Harari ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • The Goldfinch – Donna Tart ❌❌❌DNF
  • In Case You Missed It – Lindsey Kelk ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • Where the Crawdads Sign – Delia Owens⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • The Silent Patient – Alex Michaelides ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • Circe – Madeline Miller ❌❌❌DNF
  • Close to Home – Cara Hunter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
  • The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot – Marianna Cronin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

So that’s – 12 five star ratings, 1 four star rating, 3 three star ratings, 1 two star rating and 3 DNF’s.

This is also the moment I realise I only picked 20 books for this challenge, not 21 (doh!!)

Did you read any of these books? What did you think of them?
