The Silent Patient – Alex Michaelides

Synopsis:

Alicia Berenson lived a seemingly perfect life until one day six years ago.

When she shot her husband in the head five times.

Since then she hasn’t spoken a single word.

It’s time to find out why.

Review:

This book is a phenomenal character-driven psychological thriller.

I was utterly gripped from the very first page. I have never read anything quite like it and boy it has a sucker punch of a twist. It blew my mind! I actually re-read a section of the book about 3/4 times to check I got it right!

The writing is captivating and such an original story line. I was obsessed by knowing more about Theo and Alicia – would she ever talk again?

I also loved the references to psychology and the quotes at the beginning of the ‘parts’.

I am furious for myself for leaving this on my TBR for so long. If like I did you have this sat on your TBR…pick…it…up!!
