WWW Wednesday – 10th February 2021

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. I’ve done this a couple of times now and I am really enjoying taking part. For those who don’t know, the three W’s are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you finish reading recently?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading four books:

1- Our monthly #TsundokuSquad book; ‘Paris by Starlight’ by Robert Dinsdale. We are reading a book a week and like last month I will post our monthly round up at the end of the month with all of our thoughts.

2- ‘A Wedding in the Country’ by Katie Fforde, as part of a buddy read. I am at 75% and absolutely loving it so far!

3- ‘The Two of Us’ by Andy Jones, as part of the #TravelingTales book club. I have only recently started but am enjoying it so far, interested to see where it goes.

4 – ‘The Silent Wife’ by Karin Slaughter. I am about 50% through and I’m not loving it so far. I’m finding the chapters a little long and the story a little confusing. Hoping it picks up…

What did you finish reading recently?

Since my last post I have finished three books; ‘The Dog Sitter’ by Zara Stoneley, ‘The Great Gatsby’ by F Scott Fitzgerald and ‘Grown Ups’ by Marie Aubert.

I really enjoyed both ‘The Dog Sitter’ and ‘Grown Ups’ and rated both a 4/5 stars.

I enjoyed ‘The Great Gatsby’ a little less and gave it a 3/5 stars. I’d have actually preferred a slightly longer story with more description/explanations.

I will posting reviews of the above books up on here soon – The Dog Sitter, as part of the blog tour on 16th February, so keep your eyes peeled!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Once I’ve finished my current books, I am planning to read ‘Wool’ by Huge Howey as a buddy read.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my WWW Wednesday post, please drop in and leave a comment.

Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them?
