Looks like you had a good month reading and goal wise! Haven’t read any of the books, well, OK, I tried the Crawdad one but it just didn’t work for me writing-style wise. Still got plans to read MW Craven books though~

Sorry to hear that. 😦 But I am also kind of happy to finally find someone who also wasn’t into it, it seems so many love it. Thank you! 🙂

I’ve heard a lot of great things about Where the Crawdads Sing and I can’t decide whether it will work for me or not. Conceptually it sounds great but I have a love/hate relationship with literary fiction and I’m not sure where it sits in the literary fiction genre. Think I might have to try a sample on my Kindle before making a definitive decision whether or not to read it.

It’s very slow and descriptive, it wasn’t my usual read by any means and I did struggle with it throughout! However it was a beautiful story.

What did you think about my comment about Kya acting as a female praying mantis ? Hope you get a chance to read Dhanmondi Road. It will tick all of your geography boxes.

I’m not sure I really picked up on that if I’m honest, probably just went way over my head!
