I went charity shop shopping for the first time since February 2020 and man did I let loose…
I absolutely loved rifling through all the bargains (once I’d moved past the germs and panic). I went into 5 shops in total and bought 14 books in total for £22. I even found a penguin cloth bound classic hiding on the shelves.
Below is the list of books I picked up:
- Deadlock by Sara Paretsky
- The Split by Sharon Bolton
- Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak
- An Autumn Crush by Milly Johnson
- The Help by Kathryn Stockett
- Call The Midwife by Jennifer Worrh
- The Recovery of Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel
- The Winter Garden by Heidi Swain
- Dark Eden by Chris Beckett
- The War of The Worlds by H.G. Wells
- Day Four by Sarah Lotz
- Sister by Rosamund Lupton
- The Twenty-Three by Linwood Barclay
- 17th Suspect by James Patterson
Have you read any of these? What ones do I need to read first? Drop me a comment and let me know.
The only one I’ve read out of these is Call the Midwife and I really like that book and the rest of the series.
The James Patterson book is on my radar though. If it is connected to his rather long Women’s Murder Club series, it will take me a while to get it as I’m only on book 2 and that’s probably book 17 (all his books in the series have the corresponding numbers in their titles)
