Synopsis:
HOW MANY LIFETIMES DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN HOW TO LIVE?
Tom Hazard has a dangerous secret. He may look like an ordinary 41-year-old history teacher, but he’s been alive for centuries. From Elizabethan England to Jazz-Age Paris, from New York to the South Seas, Tom has seen it all. As long as he keeps changing his identity, he can stay one step ahead of his past – and stay alive. The only thing he must not do is fall in love.
But what if the one thing he can’t have just happens to be the one thing that might save him?
Review:
I loved the idea of the plot for this book. In some places I felt it lost itself a little bit, but on the whole I loved the idea.
The characters well well written and felt like that had some real depth to them. I became quickly invested and found it an easy read!
In places it jumped around a little too much for me to keep track and stay on top of what was going on. In some ways, a longer story would have worked better to explore some more of the side stories and characters.
I would recommend this book – 4/5 stars.
I love Matt’s books. They really speak to an inner yearning of lost time, nostalgia, and self-care.
Haven’t read this one yet so I may well pick it up soon!
