WWW Wednesday – 30th December 2020

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. It is new to me, I saw it on a couple of peoples blogs and thought why not join in? So here I am, first time joining in. For those who don’t know, the three W’s are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you finish reading recently?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading ‘Girl A’ by Abigail Dean, literally started this morning and only about 30 pages in so far but already super gripped and interested to see where it goes. I’ve seen some amazing reviews about it so I’m hoping it isn’t all hype and it does actually blow my socks off like I’m hoping! I also plan on reading ‘Close to Home’ by Cara Hunter before 2021. The series has been recommended to me countless times and I’m hoping to squeeze it in to take my total read in 2020 to 190!

What did you finish reading recently?

I am currently recovering from an operation and in all honestly thought my recovery would be surrounded by books, reading all the books but I was wrong. I’ve only recently picked back up a couple of books (surgery was on the 22nd). I started ‘One More For Christmas’ by Sarah Morgan before going in and I only finished it the other day, I did however LOVE IT! I gave it a 5⭐️ rating. I then went on to read ‘Together by Christmas’ by Karen Swan which I gave a 3⭐️ to, it just didn’t get the sweet spot for me but I still really enjoyed it! Most recently I finished ‘Christmas Island’ by Natalie Normann, which I gave a 4⭐️ rating. I really enjoyed the setting and food descriptions, some of the story lacked a little but overall really enjoyed it! So I think it’s fair to say, a little bit of a Christmas theme recently!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up will be in 2021 and I’ve already planned my first buddy read. It is ‘The Midnight Library’ by Matt Haig, another one which I’ve heard amazing things about! Really hoping that I love it as much as everyone else is saying. I also want to start ‘Rescue Me’ by Sarra Manning on Friday/Saturday. I’m on the blog tour on the 11th, so keep your eyes peeled for a review on that one!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my first WWW Wednesday post, please drop in and leave a comment.

Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them?
