Synopsis:
Pip Fitz-Amobi is not a detective anymore.
With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.
But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared but the police won’t do anything about it. And if they won’t look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town’s dark secrets along the way… and this time EVERYONE is listening.
But will she find him before it’s too late?
Review:
This is the second book in this series and I felt it carried on the existing story line well whilst also adding in a new gripping mystery to the mix.
It had a useful recap at the beginning which helped jog the memory and used mixed media throughout which really helped to keep it interesting and fast paced.
The unfolding of the story I felt was handled well although did unravel a little quickly at the end for me and almost concluded too soon.
I love Ravi so much but actually find Pip to be a little annoying, but that’s just me.
Overall it was an enjoyable story line and left it on the perfect set up for book 3.
I’m so mad at myself because I just went to start book three and I have completely forgotten the plot of the first two books 😭
