2021 Wrap Up and my 2022 Goals!

In 2021 I read 117 books – less than my total last year and under my goal of 17 (but life got in the way a little this year!

My average rating was 3.8 stars out of 5!

My average book length was 316 pages. The shortest (Saving the Day by Katie Fforde) at 92 pages and longest (Lace by Shirley Conran) at 751 pages.

The most popular book I read (according to Goodreads) was the ‘The Great Gatsby’ by F Scott Fitzgerald.

Here’s how I did against my 2021 goals:

📖 175 books read in total ❌1️⃣2️⃣5️⃣

📖 100 buddy reads with @girl ❌2️⃣1️⃣

📖 21 for 2021 photo ✅

📖12 friends 12 recommendations ❌4️⃣

📖 At least 6 non-fictions ✅

📖 At least 6 classics❌ 3️⃣

📖 At least one Agatha a month ❌4️⃣

📖 At least one female + male author a month ✅

📖 At least 2 Netgalley’s a month ✅

My NetGalley ratio is 49%, I started the year on 52%… so that is a little disappointing!

All in all, not great. I’m disappointed that I didn’t hit more of these goals and am determined to do better next year.

So naturally, I’ve been thinking forward to my 2022 reading goals/challenge…and this is what I’ve got so far (hopefully more realistic):

  • 150 books read in total
  • 52 buddy reads with my book besite @tot_and_tales
  • 12 Tsundoku Squad book club reads
  • 12 Never-ending netgalley prompts
  • All the books in my 22 for 2022 photo
  • At least 6 non-fictions
  • At least 3 classics
  • At least 2 Netgalley’s a month and making my % go up, not down!
