WWW Wednesday – 6th January 2021

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. It is new to me, I saw it on a couple of peoples blogs and thought why not join in? So here I am, second time joining in. For those who don’t know, the three W’s are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you finish reading recently?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Rescue Me by Sarra Manning for my spot on the blog tour (11th January). I am enjoying it so far but i’m only a couple of chapters in at the moment. I’m also reading The Midnight Library by Matt Haig, as part of a buddy read. We’re about two thirds of the way through and I don’t want it to end. I’m also reading Love at the Northern Lights by Darcie Boleyn as the #TsundokuSquads’s Monthly pick, I’m up to chapter 9. I’m enjoying it but it is lacking a little bit of substance…

What did you finish reading recently?

Since my last post I have finished Girl A, which if i’m honest I found a little disappointing. I think it might have been the curse of the over-hyped book which might have ruined it for me. I ended up giving it a 3 star rating out of 5. I just felt it wasn’t any of the things that it said all over the cover and in all the reviews. I’m likely the only odd one out here but unfortunately, I didn’t love it. I also finished reading Cara Hunter’s Close to Home which I Loved! I did find the ending a little anti-climatic but I loved the rest of the book so much I couldn’t not give it a 5 out of 5 stars!!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up I am planning to read Third Girl by Agatha Christie, to hit my one Agatha a month challenge. I’m also planning on reading Kill a Stranger by Simon Kernick as a buddy read, which also ticks of a netgalley book AND I want to start Adult Virgins Anonymous by Amber Crewe as i’m on the blog tour later this month!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my second WWW Wednesday post, please drop in and leave a comment.

Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them?
