WWW Wednesday – 24th March 2021

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. I’ve done this a couple of times now and I am really enjoying taking part. For those who don’t know, the three W’s are:

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you finish reading recently?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading three books:

1- The Tsundoku Squad’s March Read ‘The Islanders’ by S V Leonard. I’m on the last 25% to be finished by Saturday for our discussion! Not sure how I’m feeling about it to be honest, the ending will either save it or ruin it for me.

2- Big Little Lies’ by Liane Moriarty – my Traveling Tale book club book. I’m on page 145 and loving it so far, the format and pace are great.

3- ‘Shift’ by Hugh Howey – the second in the trilogy as a buddy read! Not too far into this one yet as life has been getting in the way of us reading it!

What did you finish reading recently?

Since my last post I’ve finished four books! (I don’t know how either!?)

1- ‘Poirot Short Stories’ by Agatha Christie which I gave a overall rating of 4/5 to – my review is here.

2- ‘The 24-Hour Cafe’ by Libby Page which was a massive 5/5 for me, review here.

3- ‘A Short History of England’ by Simon Jenkins which I enjoyed as my first non-fiction of the year. I gave it a 4/5, review here.

4- ‘Open Water’ by Caleb Azumah Nelson which I gave a 4/5 to. A different style book from my usual which I enjoyed. Review will be posted for this one tomorrow.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up I am planning to read The Long Long Afternoon by Inga Vesper. One that I’ve been meaning to read for AGES!
